 Hey there, Yusheeka Gray here with DIY Credit, and I want to talk to you about the fastest way to audit your credit report like a pro. So by the time you're done watching this video, you'll know exactly how to, identify negative items, weighing your score down, and you'll also know exactly what to look for to find grounds for disputing.

The first thing you need to do obviously, is order your credit report, and then after that you need to identify the negative items that are weighing your scores down. Now, some reports make this really easy for you because they will categorize all of the negative items into one section, so that makes it easy.

But if not, then what you can do is use certain account or payment statuses to determine if the account is negative or not. Things like collection, does it say it's a charge-off? Does it say it's a late payment? Is it included in bankruptcy or have wage earner or repayment plan on it? Okay, if so, then those are negative items.

Now, once you've identified the negative items, then you need to dissect each item that you found to be negative, which is weighing your scores down and you want to compare it side by side credit bureau to credit bureau to determine if anything varies or anything like that. And if it does, then it's a good indication that it is inaccurate and that gives you grounds to dispute it.

Also, if anything is questionable, you don't recognize an account number, you don't recognize the balance. Anything that you can't say 100%, okay with 100% certainty that is correct. Then it's questionable and you can dispute it.
