Hey there, Yusheeka Gray here with DIY Credit. I want to talk to you about three serious secrets that the credit bureaus never intended for you to find out about. So by the end of this video, you will be much better equipped to actually approach them should you have anything on your credit reports that you need to dispute. Okay?

So number one, these companies are not government agencies, alright? A lot of people think that they are just because they have the word bureau in their title, but they're not. They're private for-profit companies. They get paid for selling information about you. And actually the worse your information or your score, the more of a premium they can actually charge for your information. It's crazy.

Number two, their entire dispute process has been automated so that a human being never actually has to intervene literally from the time of opening your credit report to actually interpreting and processing that dispute over to data furnisher. It's crazy.

Number three, they actually have a feature that allows their data furnishers to verify all of their disputes at the same time without ever having to really open and investigate your dispute. It is crazy.

So anyone can repair their own credit. Yes, but you need to be equipped. You need to know what you're up against in order to do so successfully.
