Why do we skip the credit bureaus in Round 4?

Modified on Fri, Dec 26, 2025 at 8:22 PM

Round 4 is a strategic leverage round.

By pausing bureau disputes and contacting the data furnisher directly, we are creating a situation where:

  • The furnisher may continue “verifying” the account through the bureaus

  • But fails to properly respond to or complete an investigation directly with you

When a data furnisher verifies through a bureau but does not respond appropriately to a direct consumer investigation, they place themselves in violation of your consumer rights.

This creates powerful leverage for future rounds.
