Do I Still Have to Pay Debts Removed from My Credit Report?

Modified on Sun, Oct 19, 2025 at 10:45 PM

Credit reporting and debt collection are separate.

A debt may be removed from your credit report if it’s inaccurate, outdated, or unverified, but that doesn’t automatically cancel the debt itself.

However, we and our legal partner can review your debts to help you understand whether they’re still legally collectible based on your state’s statute of limitations.

If a debt is beyond the statute of limitations, collectors cannot legally sue you for it.

⚠️ Always confirm debt validity first.
