Hey there, Yusheeka Gray here with DIY Credit, and I am back with another video for you. In this video I want to talk to you about the number one best way to remove student loan late payments. Yes, student loan late payments. Now, it only gonna work if your student loans are open and delinquent.

It is not going to work for closed, transferred student loans. So your student loan must be open and delinquent. But by the time you're done watching this video, you will know exactly what needs to be done to go ahead and get this set up, and it's really, really easy. The first thing that you're going to do is contact your student loan servicer. Okay? Contact your student loan servicer, and when you do, you want to let them know that you are interested in qualifying for their rehabilitation program. The rehabilitation program, not a payment plan or a forbearance. You want the rehabilitation program, and once you actually get into this program, it's a 10-month process. They're going to set you up on a 10-month payment plan with payments as little as $5 per month based on your income. And at the end of that 10-month time period, as long as you have been making your payments on time, you haven't missed anything. You should be setting it up for autodraft just so you don't forget.

As long as you've done everything that you were supposed to do within that 10-month time period. Then they will automatically remove all of your previous late payment history. Automatically! That's the best way to have your student loan late payments removed. I hope you learned something new in this video and I hope that this was helpful to you.

Go ahead and get that done. If you have any questions about this or about your credit in general, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. There should be a link below this video. You can also call us at (803) 240-8344 or (803) 784-8100. Thank you so much for watching, and bye for now.
